VITAL HEALTH INFORMATION FOR CITY OF KANSAS CITY EMPLOYEES                January 2020
Starting the Year Off Right
The single biggest health risk factor for city employees? Obesity. Fountain of Health is working to support employees in their weight loss goals, with a goal of helping as many employees as possible lose 20 pounds and improve their health in 2020. FOH is providing monthly education and challenges to encourage small changes that will add up to a 20 pound weight loss this year.  Contact Jeanine Scrogum for more information.
The Care You Need - Anywhere, 24/7
The Blue KC Virtual Care app provides access to board-certified doctors and behavioral health therapists from your smartphone, tablet, or computer. For urgent or sick care: no appointments are necessary, and the cost is $59.00 per visit or less, depending on your plan's share cost. For Spira Care members (excluding Spira Care HSA Eligible members) appointments are free.  For behavioral healthcare:  Licensed psychologists and counselors are available for scheduled sessions, starting at $85 but varying by provider (applies toward your deductible). Depending on your plan's cost share, your charge may be less. Download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Visit bluekcvirtualcare.com to sign up.
